 Computer Crashes
Whenever your computer is sick, there is a solution. If your hard disk has crashed, we have experts who can recover as much of your data as possible. Sometimes we can even diagnose and fix problems over the phone or by remote access to your machine using the Internet. If you are concerned about computer crashes, the best protection is to keep your software updated with the latest patches. If Windows asks whether you want to install an upgrade, we tell our clients to say "yes." Even with the latest software, hardware can cause a computer to freeze. To minimize the risk of losing data, we recommend automatic backup software and an external hard disk.
 Fixing Slow Computers
Slow computers often have Spyware. We find that a majority of computers we service for the first time have some sort of spyware that degrades their performance, creates annoying pop-up ads, or threatens security. Instead of suffering with a slow computer, or wasting money to replace a perfectly good system that's been compromised by spyware and viruses, call us for help. We'll cleanse your computer and install software to defend against future threats.
In addition system defragmentation can cause major system slow downs over time. Fragmentation occurs when files are written to your hard disk in separate chunks. Your drive has many bits of storage space here and there; it’s not kept in one big place. So when you save a file, the computer divides it up and sticks these bits of your file wherever they will fit. So the next time you open that file, the computer must look in several places on your drive to open the whole file.
This slows everything down. Instead of your file popping up on your screen right away, the computer reads some of your file here, then over there and back again before it gets the whole thing. With a wireless network router you can share a high-speed internet connection with multiple computers. We provide all the hardware you need, and we configure everything.
If you need a wired network, we can run cable, set up routers, and configure the clients and the servers. We install Servers for Windows environments.
Computer Recycling
Whenever you buy services or equipment from The Tek-Know Solutions, we include free recycling of your old equipment. Computers contain a variety of substances that can pollute the environment. We use a professional recycling facility to dispose of your old equipment in a way that helps protect the environment.
Even if you are not making any other purchase from us, you can still call, and we will collect your old equipment from your premises for a nominal fee.

Flat Rate Service to unpack printer, install or re-install printer and drivers, as required.
New Computer Setup
Unpack, install: computer, keyboard, mouse, monitor and 2 peripherals.
Setup internet or Domain if active. Power up and test to insure proper functionality. Install Modem/Router
Setup and Configure a Broadband connection on a single PC or Router. Load software if required by ISP. Connect to Customer entry point. Must have ASP Phone number and Account number available at time of service. Labor only, customer to provide all required materials.
Help Connecting to Network (Remote/Phone)
Setup and configure a new device for addition to an existing wireless network in a small business network or Home Network. Secure Home Network
